I was coming home through Kings Heath this morning and spotted a sign announcing the imminent arrival of a Wilkinson’s store. Excellent news. It put a spring in my step.
Still, if this is what passes for excitement in my life at the moment then I really need to get out more.

The street is carpeted with fallen leaves so we have been dilligently filling our leaf sacks. 7 filled so far and 3 to go. Then it’s time for the big guns. We have empty sacks from when the slate chips were delivered and I intend to fill them with leaves too. [...]
