Colours under my feet

It’s rained a lot here recently, but for now that’s OK. For starters, it means that the soil in the soon-to-be-raised beds is still soft enough to dig and turn over so I can prepare them properly. Even better than that, the rain has washed away a lot of the dust from the slate chips and revealed their true colours.

Dark greys, blues, purples, reds, greens and the occasional white are all in there. I really need to get some plants in these beds so I stop spending all my time admiring the stones!

oooo - lovely! How are they to kneel on? I have bricks are they are fine, but slate chips would be much easier!

It is lovely, but I think it’s a little uncomfortable to kneel on as there are some sharp edges and pokey bits. A couple of sheets of newspaper seems to do the trick. Or you could always get hold of some nifty knee protectors. And lederhosen. Just for the hell of it.

Righto - just need to buy some kneepads and a bullwhip and I’m done.

Half an hour in SL and you’d not blink twice at it :)

I have a wee island i have turned into a jungle and use as a backdrop to stories on my other blog. Imagine my surprise when a leather clad amazonian beamed in complete with male slave on a chain and all fours. they had heard about it and fancied a look.

I have to say, they were a lovely couple, but I did find the fact he had to wait for permission to speak a little odd. Still, most visitors are normal and without people like this couple it’s all be very boring :-D
