Two sheds

Being cursed with a small garden makes finding a shed that will fit a rather difficult task. Some months ago I found something perfect - looks good, big enough to store all our garden stuff, small enough not to fill the entire space, not too expensive. I kept a note of the URL and thought no more of it, planning to purchase it nearer the time of the great garden renovation.

Last week, as our plans started to take shape, I decided to order the shed, but on trying the link I had saved, I got an error message. Bum. Being a resourceful gal, I tried the home page for the company only to discover that ‘the Garden Factory is no longer trading’. Double bum.

Undeterred, I searched around on t’internet for a while and eventually found this little gem. Not quite as nice as the one we had hoped for, but cheaper by about 50 quid and it would definitely do the trick, so we ordered it. On Monday we had a call letting us know that they would deliver the shed the next day. Fabulous - cheaper and quick!

Meanwhile, I went back to the Garden Factory site and had a bit of a click around. Without trying very hard at all, I managed to discover the original shed we had our eye on - and at half price, so even with delivery it would be cheaper than the second shed which was now merrily winging its way to us. Bum, bum, bum!

We (or rather, my lovely assistant) spent most of the rest of the day trying to contact the original shed people to cancel our order with them, eventually having to email them. Because if the garden is too small for one ordinary shed, it’s certainly too small for two sheds, even if they are small. Luckily, they cancelled our order before we incuurred any charges.

I had no idea that shed life was so full of drama.
