Ramming speed

Sorry for the silence. I’m so busy I don’t have time to scratch my, well, to scratch anything really. Someone somewhere seems to have speeded up the clocks and doubled the list of things to do, and if I catch the fellow I’ll give ‘em a right good talking to. Or, I would if I had the time.

setting sun

Our beautiful bathroom is finished so I have allowed myself a couple of long, soaky baths, but I have had to do some reading for work in them - so much for relaxation. The visitors we’ve had this week have been terribly neglected by me as I have mostly been stuck in the office in front of the computer, working like a demon but still inexplicably slipping further and further behind.

To say I’m feeling stressed would be an understatement.

And what’s happening with the allotment through all this, you ask? Let’s just say that it’s been so long since I’ve been down there that by this point I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t recognise each other. To confuse things further, I’ve just received a letter from the council informing me that the plots have been renumbered so my plot is no longer 102, but 28. Or 29 - there’s an inconsistency in the letter so now my poor plot is not only neglected, but also has an identity crisis.

The coming fortnight is going to be even busier. I apologise in advance for any grumpy posts that I find time to write.

Take it easy matey and post when you can - no point in the blog just being another source of stress for you.

Now - what was it you wanted scratching? ;-)

Wow - that bathroom is raaaaather nice. Did you design it yourself of did you pay the professionals? Looks like a professional job to me. Very classy.

I think it gets to this time in the year that as you said before, the daylight hours are less so you try to cram in as much as you can into the remaining light there is - even worse when its a grey day. My lovely gran used to say 5 weeks before christmas and 6 weeks after and then the sun will be here again. Its true! My other gran used to say it won’t always be dark at seven - also true. The allotment will take care of itself - till next year!!!!

Burro - Just had really long but extremely satisfying day at work so everything feels much better. I rock! (ahem) Thanks for the kind thought and for the offer of a scratch. Fortunately the antibiotics seemed to have cleared all that up for me ;-)

Soo - We are really pleased with the bathroom, and it the ‘design’ was all our own work which is gratifying, but did lead to some anxious moments during the installation where we didn’t trust that we’d measured everything properly. It’s currently the nicest room in the house, not that there’ much competition. Thanks also for your thoughts - your grans sound like wise ladies!
