Bank holiday weekend bliss

Flower

What a lovely day!

We’ve not been down the allotment (saving that for tomorrow), but boy have we been busy in the garden. The lawn got its first mow (which got me singing The First Cut is the Deepest…) and everything else had a general tidy up. I’ve potted on my tomatoes so they are now all sitting pretty in the two plastic ‘greenhouses’. And I finally sowed some courgette seeds. I have a good feeling about them. This year I will have courgettes. Really.

If courgette success should pass me by again I won’t be disheartened as today I discovered that I have a knack for growing cute cats in pots.

Turns out I’m better at this gardening lark than I thought.

    Hi Clare,

    http://www.pimpmysnack.com/

Not related to allotments at all, however I saw this and thought of you. You may already be aware of it. If you have nothing else planned for the bank holiday then an apt one for you to try might be a ‘Methuselah’ Magnum, assuming of course that you still make ice cream…

Cute cat in the pot ^_^ I myself will refrain from having more cats grown in my garden. I got two in the house and 6 (rented from the neighbours) running around the back.

Jake - Hi! I had heard of pimp my snack (somewhere), but never actually visited the site. Sadly, I have not made ice cream since we moved to Birmingham, in part because our kitchen does not really lend itself to cooking (no work surfaces, none at all. I’m not kidding). It’s inconvenient. But I am tempted to try something, if not today, then maybe at the end of the month. The Magnum idea is good, but I also fancy trying to pimp up a Feast - you know how I like chocolate!

Good to hear from you - I hope you’re well (still in Nottm?).

Sinta - cats in pots are as prolific as weeds…
