Dearest Cla-uurrr, thank you so much for being the first to sponsor me in my London Marathon attempt! Unfortunately training isn’t going well as I have an injured ankle, so I’m doing lots of cycling instead - do you think they’ll let me cycle the course?
Love R x

Oh no! Ouch! Take care of yourself and don’t make it any worse!
Glad to have been able to sponsor you. Ishall have to watch on the big day and see if I can spot you.

Hi Clare. We had a stunning complete rainbow yesterday and skies muchg like yours. Didn’t get the rain they promised until late in the evening and all is soggy this morning although the sun is bright as I type. Don’t think they’ll be much digging today…
Good luck with your black plastic!

Hi Amanda. Yes, very wet here too. Not that that matters too much to us as we won’t be able to get down to the allotment until a week on Saturday anyway - but we’ve got a big day planned for that!
Thanks for the good wishes about the black plastic - we’re going to need it! I’m not sure how we’re going to make sure it stays down as we have a lot of ground to cover and I’m sure no-one down at the laootments will thank us if great hulking sheets of plastic end up all over their plots at the slightest gust of wind!

Gorgeous shot

HB - You sweetie. You should see the pics I took yesterday having finally reached ‘digital macro’ in the camera’s user manual! It’s amazing what I can do when I actually bother to read!

LOL! Yes, yes it is. Sarcasm aside, the macro button will be your best friend now you’ve found it - the detail you can capture and the lovely depth of field that you’ll incorporate into your shots is amazing. I look forward to seeing them! Your photos that is. Errrr.

Just uploaded a few onto Flickr - some better than others (the close up snowdrop is really cool!)

Just going to look…
… Hey missus! You’ve got a good eye, you have. There are some brilliant shots there - you need to get a digital SLR next to really free your potential!

What are you doing crawling around on the roof? It’s the only way you could have got high enough to take the rainbow shot! Unless you used a balloon or kite! Please take care! Much love.

Mr HB: Hmmm. Imagine the fun I would have not reading the manual of an even more complex camera!
Hi Dad! Don’t worry - just poked my head through the fire exit window in the loft. Quite safe and feet firmly on the ground. I just had to make sure the cat didn’t come in the room and venture out onto the roof - we’d probably have never got her back again!
