Just call me Monica
I’m not normally described as anal. I do not have obsessive compulsive tendencies. I do not have control issues. If it’s not a right angle, I don’t think it’s a wrong angle. I thrive in chaos and mess - ask Owen.
So how come I feel so very smug and satisfied now that I have sorted, catalogued and indexed my seed packets? I’m a woman with a system.

All my seeds are listed on a spreadsheet and ordered by their ’sow-by’ date. The actual packets are filed in alphabetical order so that every month I can check my list and then find the appropriate seeds. Simple. Foolproof? Well, that remains to be seen.
And today my seed potatoes arrived - blight resisters. They are waiting for me to pop ‘em in trays to start chitting and are neither catalogued nor filed.
And I feel fine about that. Really.
Really.

It’s true, gentle readers, chaos and mess are Clare’s milieux. I’m hoping that this new desire for order will spread outwards from the seed box to all areas of our humble domicile, and even down to the allotment. It won’t, of course, but there’s nothing like the smell of denial in the morning

Sorry, I wouldn’t know. Some of us are anosmic as well as untidy.

I have tried to be organised but I keep putting it off. I do have a spreadsheet but I can’t find the motivation to organise it in any logical manner. So well done, I’ll be watching as the organisation turns into blind panic

Ohhhh, I like the seeds by sowing date by monthly budle - good idea!
And I dread to think what visits you’ll get now you’ve put the word ‘anal’ in a post
I think you *are* poo obsessed!

HB: Oh, dammit! I didn’t even think about the sorts of searches this post would bring in. Vegetables and, well, unmentionalble acts. Great.
WiZer: Trust me, the panic will be well documented!

“Vegetables and, well, unmentionalble acts. Great.”
Oh yes. And can we quote you on that?
