Life is a cabaret, old chum!

Can anybody out there help me find a purple top hat?

I need one that isn’t expensive, but not cheap and tacky either. (I know you think that the words purple top hat are synonymous with cheap and tacky, but you’re just going to have to trust me when I say that it needn’t be so.) Purple glitter top hats available online for £1.99 fall firmly into that cheap and tacky category, by the way.

And why do I need such a ludicrous item?

Well, as chairman of my allotment association I think it imperative to dress appropriately, don’t you, dahling?

Is there any other colour worth wearing???

Besides, this way it’ll go better with my frock.

Well I hope your shoes match - heels or spats?

    Try:

    - you could dye it.

There’s a hat forum you can ask advice on: http://pub23.bravenet.com/foru.....&cpv=1

Heels, of course! I can’t believe you have to ask.

You’re very helpful - though I’m not sure if I should be insulted by your mention of a forum that has a drag queen/showgirl headdress thread! Mind you, it could well be my spiritual home, so perhaps I I think I’ll take it as a compliment!

Feather headdresses always look fabulous down the plot…

The showgirl girl is a must and rest assured that Dr Burro is most releived to hear of the heels. You’ll be needing some sparkly things for your eyes ;-)
