No naked flames!

We’re (well, I’m) still enjoying the broad beans and tonight we have our first french beans too. Four each of Blauhilde and Neckar Queen, with plenty more on the way. The Neckar Gold are taking their time so none of them just yet.

I can’t imagine that our front room is going to be a very fragrant place to be this evening.

i’m impressed with your blauhilde beans. Currently i have one bean, and there doesn’t look to be many more on the way at present. At least it’s nice and purple.

    Were the blauhildes nice?!

Difficult to know how nice they were as we did cook them with some shop-bought beans in order to make a proper portion and the Blauhildes didn’t need steaming for as long and so were a bit limp. I picked a load more today (we’re very close to the ’so many beans we don’t know what do do’ stage I think) but won’t be having dinner at home until Friday - the definitive verdict will have to wait until then!
