Amphibians a-go-go

Following the joyous sighting of a wee small frog in our garden last week, we have since seen another two! Owen found the first yesterday, which jumped out at him in a panic as he was pulling leafy hairy rubbish out of the bathroom drain. At first, we thought it must be a toad as it was pretty big, but the skin was definitely smooth, not warty.

And then today. I was giving my wormery an overhaul when I heard a bit of a commotion over by the fence. When I went over, Bruno, next door’s young dog (the other side - I’m pretty sure this one doesn’t poop on the grass, but I’m no expert) was sniffing excitedly, and hopping in the flower bed (a term we use very loosely in this garden) was another frog! I’m not entirely sure that this isn’t the same frog from the other day, though he looks different to me…
