I can stop whenever I choose

More sowing today. No, of course I’m not an addict. What are you talking about?

More sunflowers (as yesterday) - the garden is going to be full of big smiles!

Squashes: Butternut; Turk’s Turban; Ben’s surprise (a gift from Ben down the allotments - they’re ‘big, firm-fleshed and lots of different colours’, apparently).

And some chamomile to keep me calm and fluster-free. Because I’m going to need all the help I can get once I no longer have to sow any seeds.

  1. my tiny plot

Hi Clare, took your advice and put some carrots in today at the plot, we’ll see if the snails get to them before I do. I’ve saved half back so I won’t be without if they all die.
I’ve planted some flowers too. Some Dahlia’s from seed and will be trying some cornflowers and poppies on the plot - for that cottage garden feel. It’s nice to have flowers too.

You’ve been productive. I’m not going to get to try carrots this year; not enough of the plot is in a fit enough state for root vegetables! I agree with you about flowers. I’m hoping to set aside part of our plot for flowers (probably next year) for cutting.
